DFEST is an annual design festival hosted by MITID Alandi campus. This year we are launching our second design competition DFEST – DESIGN CHALLENGE 2023 for creative minds who are willing to work on original, creative & innovative design ideas/solutions in different domains of life. MIT-ID Alandi campus presents a design competition to encourage careers in design and motivate budding talent at the school/graduate level. This event is envisioned to be a collaborative effort between the industry and academia to give a holistic and conducive environment for participants.
Choose one of the challenges from the 3 themes given below and work out superhero character, Indian identity through graphic elements, App that will be original, creative, and innovative.
The Design challenge will be conducted in the following stages.
Stage 1 :
Registrations starts from 14th February 2023.
Mode of Submission ONLINE.Last date of entry submissions 18th March 2023.
Last date of entry submissions 28th March 2023.
Students shortlisted by the jury will be informed by Email, SMS, and Website. modes.
Stage 2 :
Final Jury Round will be held @ MITID, Alandi Campus on 28th March 2023, followed by activities and award ceremony.
Students from 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th standards in any board registered in India and are looking for creative career options of design.
Students already registered to any of the design institute for post graduate or undergraduate level. Students not only in core design streams but interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary domain are also eligible to participate into this challenge.

1. Last date of the submissions of the entry is 18 March 2023
2. Individual or group entries are allowed.
3. Participating group to have maximum 3 members.
4. Your submission file must be as per submission format mentioned in the theme
5. Any work copied from internet/other resources or already available in the market and not original work will be rejected at screening.
6. MITID Alandi Campus shall have the right to use, print or reproduce the prize-winning design, logo, app, or any submitted materials in any form it deems fit.
7. Prize money after necessary tax deductions will be made as per the prevailing taxation rules from the prize money. Payment will be made by cheque/NEFT.
8. Participants can publish their entries in public domain/social media only after the declaration of the final winners.
9. Eligibility for Aspiring Design Students is students studying in 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th & 12 standards only.
10. Eligibility for Existing Design Students is students studying in B. Des or equivalent course, M. Des or equivalent course, BE/BTech in any of the institutes in India.
